Project Overview
Reboot Eden was built in 5 days as a game jam entry — a team project focused on rapid delivery under extreme time constraints. The priority: ship a complete, playable experience before the deadline, whatever it takes.
What I Contributed
- Rapid prototyping — core loop playable within the first day
- Team collaboration — coordinating tasks and integrating work from multiple contributors
- Scope management — hard cuts when features risked the deadline
- Complete gameplay loop delivery — start, middle, end, all in 5 days
The Jam Mindset
Game jams are a fundamentally different engineering challenge. The goal isn't clean code or perfect architecture — it's proving a concept works and shipping it. Knowing when to cut, when to hack, and when to polish is a skill of its own.
Key Takeaway
Working in a team under time pressure exposed gaps in communication and integration that solo work never does. Merging code from multiple people, resolving conflicts, and staying aligned on scope — these are production skills, not just jam skills.
